Just popping in

We came back from Oklahoma last night, instead of this morning. After the funeral we had cold lunch at my brother's house, and people all sat around visiting. Hubby developed an medical problem after his nap, so we ended up leaving, stopping at the VA Emergency Room on our way home.It was 1:30 a.m. when we got home. Another detail came up, so I called and he is doing a walk in visit at VA urology this morning. I did not go. I may get to mow some in a little bit, if the grass dries out. Other than that. I am just enjoying having the house to myself. One of the things I did in the car was work on some embroidery. I have not done that in over forty years. It is very calming for me. I need to work on my mask project. Oh, and of course, clean and maybe cook. The funeral service went well. The hospice chaplain did the service and graveside messages. Charlotte, Dad's wife got to be at the chapel for the service. At some point I am going to take a muscle relaxer because I have a sciatica pain that is not getting better. If I take it today I have time to sleep. Will will start working in our school rooms next week. This year looks to be a challenge, but we will manage it. I should be back later this afternoon.

I waited until supper to take that muscle relaxer. I had a pretty good day until I stood to make dinner.

@rebelann I have muscle spasms that go along with this, so I thought I would try. Pill helped the spasms, but I am going to have to do some stretches, etc. to really fix the issue.

Sometimes relaxing the muscles around a nerve isn't a really good idea @GardenGerty it didn't work for me.

Actually hubby does seem to be feeling better. May be the extra calories, I am not sure. I took that muscle relaxer last night, I am still so sleepy from it. I am wearing a knee brace today.

It truly does. Does your school have a firm reopening plan?

@GardenGerty so far it is a hybrid of in-person and virtual but that still could change

@NJChicaa Hybrid is not a choice here. It is in person, or online. We were real lax with online last spring. Now they are saying online learning is to be 360 minutes per day logged in and working on school work for the kids. Of course things are different because I work with elementary too.

@amitkokiladitya It may have risks, but other choices for the kids are also risky. If it becomes a problem we will shut back down.

@jvicentevalera You probably could learn on You Tube. That is what everyone tells me about everything.

I think if I did not have stress the shock would kill me or make me sick at the very least.

When it rains, it pours. I pray your hubby is better. And your sciatica pain. That’s a bear.
