We had the storm Isiais hit us in Connecticut. I had trees and branches come down in my yard. On branch yanked the wire from electric pole to my house. It took the 6 days to repair it!
This was what my backyard looked liked.
Did anyone else have storm damage?

yes, the tree in the picture above uprooted and fell over on to one fence and the other fence that was attached to it just flew away from it and left that big hole in to the neighboring yard. It took us days to get to fix it and my dogs had to stay in the house the whole time. they were not happy.

Wow looks like that you just had a strong storm hit your place. The damage must have been extensive that is why you have lasted 6 days with no power in your place. I am glad they had restored your power back and you enjoying it again. But I see you need a lot of tidying up your backyard for those fallen branches you have in there.

@minx267 That's good to know. But it's hard to deal with darkness at night without electricity.

@wolfgirl569 when it uprooted we were actually surprised at how shallow the roots were rooted for such a large tree.. i am sure that is the reason it went over...

@minx267 It seems that is the ones that get it. There was a huge pone at mom and dads old place that fell in a storm a few years ago.

We had a power outage but luckily it was restored the same day. Or technically next day as it was sometime after midnight. Many New Yorkers were without power for many days.

The other day there was a strong electrical storm with hurricane like winds that came from nowhere and the sky turned a bright orange mustard colour for a long while lots of tree branches down.
Thank goodness you are all okay though. Sorry about you having to go through that such a long time with no power.
