We just booked a flight to Seoul, South Korea

The plane tickets are so cheap that we were tempted to book a flight to Seoul for June next year. The cost is just 10,000 pesos or $200 for me and my wife and that's round trip, of course, via CebuPacific Air. If the virus is still around by that time then we wouldn't go. It's all right if the tickets will be forfeited but probably it can be rebooked.

We had our tickets to Phuket unused in April 2020. The airlines has given us credit points to be used within one year. Hopefully the virus is in control by April 2021. Else we are not sure if we can use these points. We do not want our money to go waste.

@arunima25 Well, I hope that you are able to use those points. A lot depends upon which International Flights start from India by then.

Our flight for Seoul in October 2020 was cancelled by the airlines and they promised to return the $400 that paid for it. We bought that ticket last November.

I hope that by June of the next year it will be safe to travel, if not we surely have serious problems.

@Alexandoy All the European researches declared that Putin is a criminal to vaccinate people before conducting the tests, he can kill more people than the virus now.

@LadyDuck in the news a while ago, the former head of our health department who is now a congressman also said the same. The clinical trial should be completed before using it for public use. There's a need to study the data.

@rsa101 not really on Russia but on the other vaccines that will be coming. Choose the best vaccine, so they say.

Now I have the confidence to think positive because of Russia's declaration of their vaccine. For sure others will follow suit.

I think that was very wise of you to make hay while the sun shines. Hopefully by next June everything would be well under control and you should be able to have a good and safe travel.

Tickets are available for Seoul so well in advance?? That is astonishing! That boyish person in Purple(or is it pink) shirt looks like someone of an Indian origin. Is that picture from a previous trip?

That's a really good price for tickets. You definitely should buy them! And if we still have issues with the virus in June of next year, we've got bigger problems to worry about than plane tickets.

Our trip for October 2020 was cancelled but we were already decided to let it be forfeited. Fortunately we were promised a refund. For next year, it is again a gamble.

@moffittjc yes, it is a very low airfare because our previous ticket was double that amount.

@Alexandoy It may be a gamble for next year, but it's a gamble worth taking, as you are getting very low airfare rates right now. I'd take that gamble too, in the hopes that the pandemic will be over by this time next year.
