Diary

August 11, 2020 6:17am CST
So today, I found my old stuff in a big box in my parents' warehouse. Most of them are from my highschool years. Apparently, it was my mom who put them there. I almost forget I have that stuff tho', and its crazy how many diaries I have there. Seriously, I don't really remember that I used to write a lot. I even forget when exactly I stop writing diary. Maybe when I graduated from highschool. When I counted, I have ten diaries from my highschool days, five from elementary days, and six from junior highschool days. I read some of them, there are names of people that I never talk to anymore, places that I used to go to with people who I called bestfriends, some of them are so far away now, and so much more. I'm laughing and crying at the same time. It's crazy that six years has passed by since I graduated from highschool, and so many things happened to me during that time. I realize I changed a lot. I am not the same person anymore and that is fine. Six years change me a lot. Do you have a diary too?

Yes I have some diary and I still save them. When I read my old diary from a couple years ago I feel so weird and just thinking "why the hell I wrote this?!" lol

It is really funny knowing what we think back those days. Most of the times, you laugh at yourself and sad at bad moments, or feel shamed of what you did from the past as well. But sometimes you het angry why you're still doing the same mistakes.

I never kept a diary. Maybe, I tried writing once but never did continue because you know, Mom's snoop around and keep on reading it so I stop writing hahaha.

Haha I feel you, my sisters used to read my diary too, and embarrassed me in front of my parents for what I wrote in the diary.

It is good to maintain diaries on daily basis but later on you should find time to go through them. Some how I could never maintain one although I attempted to do it so many times.

The thing about diary is... One day when you read it again, it's like having a conversation with your old self who has a different perspective with yourself now, and it makes you see how much you've grow.

I had a diary and a journal as an adult and sometimes on the computer I will write my feelings but not very often. I do not write in it anymore because it really does not help me.

@zahzahzahra Maybe it can help if you write wonderful things or feelings of happiness and achieving goals. This way you can motivate yourself more to be a successful person. :)

I feel you. I remember I used to write a lot because it helped me to control my emotion and maintained my feeling. But these days it doesn't help anymore, and I stop doing it for a long time.

This post made me smile. I still have my diaries even decades have passed, well I don't know why I still keep them. I remember when I get to share some of them with my ex. He really loved reading those. I told him I would throw them someday, I can't remember if he said he wanted them, or it's ust waste to throw them because those are pieces of the one whom he loved anyway.

@zahzahzahra I wish I do aahve someone to pass it on too but I really don't know if it could be of help. Sometimes we just have to keep memories just memories. Sure it's fun looking back at your past, but sometimes you have to move on and forget some of it.
