Do you buy ready mix vegetables for your cooking?

I like vegetable curry but I never buy ready mix vegetables, I want to clean and wash myself the vegetables I use, particularly right now with the problem of the virus.

No, I would never buy ready prepared mixed vegetables in order to make a curry (or anything else). I also prefer to use a curry paste rather than curry powder because it keeps the flavours better. Most dry powdered spices lose a lot of flavour if kept for any length of time and curry powder does the same. Curry paste, on the other hand, has the freshly roasted and ground spices mixed with oil so it keeps the flavour much better. Of course, if I have time, I will roast and grind my spices afresh for each curry. That way, I am in control of the ingredients and can put more or less cumin or cardamon or chili as I wish.

We don't use ready mix vegetables. We buy fresh ones and then make them.

Sometimes I buy ready veg mixes. They saves your precious time and some of them have good quality

Mix veggies? Oh you mean the ready cut one? Sometimes yes, but most of the time, I will buy the one piece of veggies. Sometimes mix veggies are damp already.

I didn't see this post. We were away during a horrible hurricane at the time. I prefer to use my own fresh vegetables when I cook.

I like indian dishes wether its spicy or not,on the other hand i prefer buying vegetables than ready mix,but if on a hurry ready mix is handy..i miss indian dishes

No, not really. I prefer my veggies fresh.

When I am cooking a dish that needs vegetable I try to use fresh if not I use ready mixed frozen ones.

I didnt get what's a readymix vegetable is. you mean chopped ready to cook vegetables? In India you get cooked curries from small family run eateries. They are really tasty and cheaper than having meals at a hotel. you need to only cook rice at home .

Yes I do, specially if I don't have much enough time to prepare the veggies. Still taste the same however fresh veggies taste more better ??
