One of the books I had placed on hold in the library has finally arrived and I can pick it up. It's called Last Day by Luanne Rice. The genres for this book according to google are: Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Psychological Fiction. This is the first book this author released in these genres. All the other books she's written were romance or young adult. I've been waiting for this book for a long time and excited to be able to finally read it. According to Goodreads Last Day is "a riveting story of a seaside community shaken by a violent crime and a tragic loss." I've read all of the books Luanne Rice has released... I only own one of them. Wish I had owned them all. She is only of my favorite authors.

I've heard of Luanne Rice, but I've never read any of her books. I hope you enjoy her new book, and I hope her forage into new genre territory pays off for her. Hopefully, it will be a riveting story that you enjoy very much.

She is a NYT Bestselling author. Some of her books were made into movies as well. I've read about 80 pages already. Wanted to read more but stopped because I was hungry and also wanted to get on mylot. I am enjoying the book so far. I can't say if the story is riveting or not because I have no idea what the heck that means.

Enjoy your book! I still have The Stand sitting here. It's about 700 pages by Stephen King (not a favorite of mine; but it's about a pandemic. Will start reading again one of these days. Have a great Thursday.

Thanks! Hope your day is going well. 700 pages is a lot to read. Hope you get to finish the book. If I am not enjoying the book or find it boring I can't force read. And it will take forever to finish a book.

@lovebuglena I find myself wanting to finish the book anyway. It's like watching a bad movie. Have a great Friday and weekend.
