I think it must be Japan which is larger producer of wrist watches. In 1960's, with Japanese collaboration, Govt. India started manufacturing watches at Bangalore and it had a terrific demand for wrist watches, people had to wait for couple of months to get the watches, after placing the order. Now thousands of varieties of watches are available in shops, made by different countires.

When I was a child, it was Switzerland. In my teens, it was Japan. Now, I don't know for sure. ¿China, perhaps?

i would say most or all of them are made in Switerland,or japan. the swiss make such elegant watches they are exspensive but i bet they are worth it. Japan is know for technoladgy they are so advanced it is crazy.

It looks like JAPAN and SWITZERLAND vie for the first place in manufacturing watches. Let us see somebody may come up with facts.
