Shrimp and Grits for Dinner

Had a great dinner. Shrimp, grits, biscuits and fresh garden sliced tomatoes. That is a big meal, but I made small portions for myself and really enjoyed. Cannot get fresh shrimp, so I thawed a few shrimp from the freezer and simmered in a sauce pan. As the grits were coking, so were the biscuits. Sliced the tomato. Let it chill in the refrigerator. And it all came together. So good. One of my favorite meals.

Grits and shrimps? Why not, as in north Africa they make shrimps and cous-cous grains and it's delicious.

I’ll take the tomatoes. I can’t eat shrimp (allergy) and I don’t like grits. I know, what kind of southerner am I?

I've had grits in the past when I lived in NC. I've never heard of having it with shrimp before.
