I would live rural if I could, but in this country here, you must have defense as it is very dangerous even out in the sticks.

My first home that I bought was in 1991 and it was a small cottage in a rural village. It was a long way to a train station and the bus didn't go very often. There was a village shop with expensive prices. It was heavy to bring back groceries from Canterbury. I had to cycle to work as I hadn't learned how to drive a car. It had lovely rural walks and it was quiet. I sold it in 2005 and moved to a modern house overlooking fields. I loved the views and being so close to a river. I sold it in 2010 and moved to a bungalow. That is where I live now. It has an area of grass next to it. I like living near to my sister.

@judithml I was able to see my sister, her husband and their older son yesterday so it was really lovely. Yes, it is horrible to me lonely. A lady living in the same road as me had her husband die. Another one that lives near by said she is very lonely. I would like to sit with her though I had my children to think of.

Hi, thanks for stopping by. I can imagine how it was like by the way you described it. The old rural is peaceful and lovely indeed, and time seems to slowly change things in those places. It is good to know you're now living close to your sister's, because it can get so lonely sometimes, and having a family member around just makes things a lot better.

@maximax8 i suddenly feel kind of sad for the persons you mentioned. Because i dont want to see people alone and feeling alone. Esp now it is easy to get sad when things are depressed. Humans need company. I wish to send some loves to them...
Here where i am maybe the complete opposite bec we live in small compound and all my neighbors are my family and relatives. There are at least 10 kids here ages 1 to 9, 3 are my sisters kids and they keep the household noisy, sometimes messy but not bored.

I live in the outskirts of the Metropolis, meaning I enjoy the fresh air of the rural setting with easy access to urban amenities.

I belongs to rural area so when I was child I like to live in urban area because light and water supply was good in city but now I prefer rural area, free from pollution, stress and gathering.

I love rural too. The rural I imagine is fun, pace is sane/slower, peaceful and good for physical and mental health generally. Normally cleaner and cheaper, mostly you can be self sufficient with little money.
