The Last Fresh Garden Tomato

Just sliced the last of the fresh garden tomatoes from my neighbor. He said these would be the last of the season. They did not do as well for him this year.
He made the mistake of trying a different type of tomato. But he said next year would be better. Either way I appreciate the ones he shared. Lots of tomato sandwiches were eaten.
The rain is falling very lightly. A nice shower. I hope it will last a little longer.

It's nice eat anything from the garden... of course, I am talking about the edibles, waheehee. I cannot plant tomatoes here because of the aphids.

We are still waiting on our first ripe tomatoes:) We love them! Last evening we had a shower, but I was sleeping. Jay said it hit about 1:00A and there wasn't any thunder or lightening.

We too wish to grow fresh tomatoes. Yet our efforts so far to grow some vegetables like Okra, Capsicum etc have not materialized.
May be we need to try again.
Have a great Tuesday.

I hope you got all the rain you wanted.
A tree fell on my mother in laws house ruining her garden so she got no home grown tomoatos this year. Except a nice customer at work gave me a bunch of tomatos that I passed on to her. I don't eat them myself.

@CarolDM She needs roof work and her garden was destroyed, but she is safe and that's all that matters.

Back home in the province, we planted tomatoes and harvest. It is always good to harvest from our own garden.

I don't know much about growing tomatoes. Does the plant die after harvesting the tomatoes, or does it come back year after year?

@CarolDM Oh dang, that's no fun, especially if you get a particular tomato plant that yields some incredible tomatoes.

I'm sorry your source for tomatoes has dried up! :-) Hopefully you can buy some at a roadside stand. Those are always nice and fresh.

That looks good. My tomatoes this year have been a bust. I got one smaller than average, and there are a couple of buds on there now, but luckily I have someone in the neighborhood who shares too.

Sad that it's the last of your garden tomatoes but it surely looks good.

Still have some tomatoes coming in from my garden. They really add something to a salad. I had a tomato, bacon and lettuce the other day. Nothing beats home grown

@CarolDM. Hi Carol....I think you can try to grow the tomatoes in your house so you can enjoy the fresh tomatoes every time you want to. Just like me, since pandemic Covid 19, my husband and I have start to grow some crops. One of them is tomato. It was not easy to grow it for the first time, but...Thanks God.....finally our tomato grows well and now we can eat the fresh tomatoes :)
