The Plagiarist has Apologized

In the last post, I have told you about a photo of mine which was plagiarized by a known person in my hometown in the Philippines. He is the admin of an fb page where he posts my photo without my permission. Gladfully, some of my relatives, who are members of that Fb page, noticed that they have seen that photo already and that it was mine. So, they sent me the screenshot of that post with my photo. That person was talking as if that photo was his and he even put the Fb page group on my photo.
I sent a message to that plagiarist. I didn´t get a reply. So angry as I was, I post on my Fb timeline telling about my stolen photo and of course the name of that person and that Fb page. I also sent the link of the article on Hubpages where I included that said photo which was stolen. Then I tagged all my friends who are from our hometown, some are even living abroad who are also active on fb.
I was not contented with that. I shared my own post to another fb page group of our hometown whose admin is the son of my friend, whom I know since he was a small kid. I am a member of this group. I know that some of the members are fb friends of that plagiarist.
I have shamed that plagiarist publicly. He apologized when commenting on my post. At first, I told the plagiarist to just credit it to me but then he was asking me to write the story about the photo and who my parents are and so on. Well, to make the story short, he deleted my photos because I told him to delete them. Yes, I found out that he has stolen 2 of my photos.
I found out through the comments that this plagiarist is a rude person and just get photos from his friends' photos without permission. I got many from my friends.
Now, many of my childhood friends have read my HubPages article about our childhood river. I think I am popular now in my hometown
Thanks for reading. I am ranting I suppose. Have a nice Wednesday.
The photo is the torch ginger plant I have in my garden in my hometown in the Philippines.

I am glad you took him to task instead of letting it go. It was important to you so you stood up for yourself.

Yes, it was important to me @snowy22315. Maybe, if I have not shamed him on Fb publicly, he wouldn´t delete my photos and apologized. I have read about that habit of stealing photos and having fights with other people in my hometown through fb that I just couldn´t let it go. That person was full of himself and an arrogant one.

The nerve of him to on top of that ask you all that information and stuff what a cheek.
However very good he gave in and listened to you.
Its good to have a rant here and there we all need it.

That is unacceptable. Sometimes, on Facebook, there is a share button and people do share but this does not seem to be the case. That is the trouble with the internet. People steal articles and photos. They think if they see it on the internet, they can take it.

Plagiarism is a crime, punishable by an arrest and also jail time! He is lucky that you didn't call the police or he would have been in a whole heap of trouble for stealing your photos!

I agree with you @kobesbuddy. That plagiarist was already in trouble reading my "shaming" post on fb and reading the comments of some people he knows. Thank you.

Yes, I know that @nawala123. If I see a plagiarist, I report it to the admin.

What a shame that some people aren't creative enough to make their own contents but stealing other people's material! I hope it doesn't happen again! So sorry to hear that!

That's right @Alexandoy. That person is really popular in our hometown because he is full of himself, arrogant, rude and steals photos from others too on fb. He is the admin of our another hometown page group and who ever object his opinion, is gone from that page.

Yes, that was indeed @JudyEv. I didn't really like the idea of shaming a person on a public site but I have heard already about this person on fb. He was always the cause of a trouble so I couldn't let it go when I was the victim and showed him his place. I got many appreciations through messages how they like what I did. Thank you and have a nice day.
