Ice Cream Sundaes / myLot

I love ice cream so when it comes to an ice cream sundae I'm probably first on line.

Yesterday I was having a chat with a friend and we were talking about ice cream especially now that summer is here. She loves her sundae topped with all sorts of goodies including wet walnuts and whipped cream on top. However she said she always has her syrup on top of the whipped cream whereas I said my syrup is always on top of the ice cream and then the whipped cream. We got into a whole who's right (not that there's any rule that says that syrup goes under the whipped cream) but I know I'm right

How do you make yours? syrup under or on top of your whipped cream??

I'd really prefer my sundae without cream or with only a very little. Sometimes they smother it with cream and, for me, that spoils it. What topping do you prefer? I like any colour as long as it's red.

I like mine syrup on ice cream whipped cream in top. At ice cream shop, it's this way. You're right.

I usually like just ice cream and chocolate syrup. Sometimes maybe pecans or walnuts and a cherry on top.

I did not know that there is a wet walnut topping option. I like to eat my sundae with chocolate syrups and chocolate rice.

I don't like whipped cream, so I think that I am in a whole other category.

But I do like lots of peanuts and walnuts on the top.

I just enjoy ice cream, very seldom a hot fudge sundae with just ice cream and hot fudge. I am boring when it comes to food I guess. Whose right? I guess you both are. Make them the way you enjoy them. That's always been my philosophy in life.

If you put the syrup on top of the whipped cream it could spill off causing a mess. Best to put syrup on the ice cream with whipped cream last. Put some crumbled cookie or sprinkles on top of the whipped cream but be careful of it sliding off the cream.
