Most of the popular dine-in restaurants are planning of downsizing according to my niece. The take-out order and delivery would be the focus since that is the main source of revenue now. Only few are dining in and they are paying so much rental for the place. Business has yet to break-even with the overhead.

It is funny that some in the medical field like Dr. Leachon said the lockdown had slightly lessened the cases. Slightly huh. We are getting 4,000 for 2 days and that is slightly?

@Janet357 that was 2 days of 6,000 cases. An economic analyst in Ateneo said that there are actually 2 million cases but not all are recorded. That's in the GMA-7 noontime news today.

I think a lot of businesses will be changing how they do business @Alexandoy With restaurants I think more will be offering home deliveries and maybe dispensing with expensive dine in areas.

I am worrying about the businesses because almost all industries are affected by the virus.

That's good for the business to at least break even. But it's still dangerous to get exposed.

The dine in is a losing scheme so they plan to remove it.

@Alexandoy Most restaurants won't be able to get many people in to dine because of the social distancing.

@simone10 that is my issue with restaurants that it is better to just be for take out and delivery so their rental will be smaller.

Even if the dine in is open the distancing affects the capacity of the place.

That is the same opinion of my wife. She brings food to office so she would not buy there.

@Alexandoy It is the same here, they have to keep one free table between two occupied tables, it is a big loss for the restaurants.

If you had seen my post on the dine in that we had in the food court the table for 6b can accommodate only 2 diners. That is a big loss to the restaurant in terms of capacity.

You are without the mask here? Is it an old picture?
Anyways, you look ultra smart.
Here too, dining in is very less but takeaways and home deliveries are gradually picking up.

The limited capacity is the problem of the restaurants because they feel shortchanged with the rental.

Dine in is still banned in India and only takeaway allowed. I feel Dine in need to be allowed after proper screening and social distancing. Else the hotel industry will collapse.

You can imagine the rental paid by the restaurant that only earns from take-out and delivery. The tables and chairs are empty.

I would rather choose take out or my food to be delivered than have to dine in in restaurants. I would rather follow basic health protocols than going outside just to have my lunch in a restaurant. Even dine in is already allowed but the virus is still there. Why would i risk the safety of my love ones and my family just to satisfy my cravings outside our house.
