Mango Plantation

Currently starting up Mango Plantation amidst the Pandemic. I read somewhere that it was 20 years ago when people had started planting trees but today is another right time to plant trees for the next 20 future years.

in my area it seems mango season too. many people are hunting mangoes for sale.

You are right. We should take initiative for planting trees. We are enjoying the fruits of the trees planted by some people 20 years back.

Good for you if you have lot to plant those trees.. Twenty years is a very long time. I didnt know it takes that long to harvest mangoes. Suddenly i remember an old film i recently saw on YT.

@Mabeljoe I read the discussion wrong. Eight months is a lot shorter than i expected maybe im thinking growing trees from seeds, Lanzones can take as long as 20 years or more is what i realised.

@judithml Chocanan is a different Mango variety. It bears fruit after 6 to 8 months of planting. Not much fruit at first. It will give a full blown harvest on its 3rd year.

Actually, it's only 8 months to wait for the Chocanon variety. I'll plant 55 of those after the clearing of the site.

That's good to start planting again. Mango is good tree,because they also bear fruit. I hope for your success planting. I hope they will grow fast and healthy.
