I will survive as what the movie suggests.Even the scabbiest players can be professional players. What do you think? Anybody can do it,it's your determination to survive a game like I can relate to boxing.

I think it pretty much boiled down to "Ya gotta have heart". That movie was awesome. I am rally surprised that more people haven't heard of it.

Yeah, I was surprised nobody had watched it. I liked the part where they were in jail and they started to dance and sing "I will survive". It was good laugh.

I LOVE "THE REPLACEMENTS". It's such a simple story but says a lot. It simply wants to tell everyone that all deserves a second chance. And you will survive no matter what as long as you have the heart and determination in your goal. I never get tired of watching the film over and over again. And each time I hear the song "I Will Survive" I recall the whole film. The song says it all. I just love that scene in jail where they all danced to the tune of "I Will Survive". GREAT MOVIE!!!

I bought the DVD. This movie shows that the reason one should play is for pride and glory, as opposed to how much money one can earn. Too many athletes think they are worth an astronomical amount of money-JUST TO PLAY A GAME THAT MOST OF US WOULD GLADLY DO FOR WAY LESS MONEY or even for free!!!

for me, the film was and still one of the greatest motivator for a team, once, i played for my team dubbed the replacements, because at that time, the superstars of our team have a bust up with the then coach. people write off our chances to go beyond the group stages. but, we manage to prove them wrong by going all the way into the finals, which we lost by penalties. we had a great motivation just by watching the film before we went for the tournament.
