Are you also a forklift operator like me? I was currently vacant for the mean time. I resign from my company. I can't see myself getting old in that place. Here in Manila, Philippines the standard working hours for every blue collar job is 8 hours. I don't have overtime work. And it's not good. Because it's the only way for me to get paid more. I don't have week end work as well. So my salary is not good enough. But I believe, not all company is the same. I believe there are many good companies that pays well and took care of their employees. What about you guys? How's your career as a forklift operator/material handler?

Currently I am in sales and paid both an hourly base rate and a commission. But I have done many jobs in the past. Including driving forklifts. I do not stay in jobs that do not pay me what I need to not only survive, but to be able to put away money as well for the future.

Being on sales I believe requires a lot of talent and practice. I admire salesman like you sir. Perhaps the sales sometimes depends on the popularity of the brand so I believe it is a smart way to start the career alongside the widely distinguished brands. The talents of the salesman can be more enhanced and more powerful upon having a closure on a sale.Do you agree?

@winterlion It's a tough business and a bit cut throat at times, but it is what it is. And yes. It does take some talent I suppose to close the sale. The only benefit to my current position is that it is business to business, so what I am selling the customer absolutely already needs. I just have to convince them that they need to get what they need from me as opposed to the other guy.

Wow that's cool. Not everyone can have an opportunity to become like you. Your children are so lucky to have a father like you.
