Hello Everyone! Today is beautiful, how has been your day all? My time at the Stores earlier today was quite an interesting one. I offered to pick up a few groceries at the stores, on reaching there, warm smiles welcomed me ,so when i got shopping for all i came for, I noticed a little boy stood by one of the shelves crying with his mother unconcerned about this little boy. So out of the benevolence of my heart I drew close to where the boy and his busy mother where standing to inquire why the cute little child was crying. "Please dont pay attention to him,he does this all the time" she explained smiling then she looked down at her child wearing same warm smile on her face. Although I was yet to get all the items I came for but,the little child I saw crying profusely at the store I honestly couldn't bear to ignore, because I have a special love for little children. So like I was saying,I knelt down before the child and with a warm smile I asked, "what do you want little friend?" "I w-an-t that o-n-e"replied the little fellow still crying. . .then I stood up held the child by the hand excused myself from the mother,I then walked up to the direction of the shelf the child was pointing at picked up a pack of the chocolate he has been crying for then i handed the chocolate to the child and said to him, "there you go! its alright stop crying, now go show it to mummy " The mother of the child stood behind us observing things curiously,i and the little child then walked back to his mother now the child was no longer crying . The cute little fellow looked up to me with his teary eyes and said"thank you Uncle " and the mother also thanked me appreciatively I replied smiling "that's okay it's nothing really, have a good day ma'am! Walked up to the cash point to make payments after that I left. Have you had any heartwarming experience out door of late?

I'm glad your efforts were appreciated. I'd be afraid to intervene like that. I might talk to the kid, but that would be it.

@Sambriel I'm a child psychologist, and my worries would be that the mom not appreciate my efforts, or that he might might have had chocolate "yesterday." I'd probably get the kid into a conversation about favorite kinds of chocolate, other things he likes to eat, etc. It's hard to cry when you're getting positive attention from someone.

Not this late but before. It was a nice thing you did and I am glad the mother just smile. When my boy was still little, I told him to not accept any sweets that a person would give to him. He was not allowed to take chocolates or any candy from a stranger.

@thelme55 you're very right to have cautioned your son not to accept chocolate or candy from a stranger, any good mother would do the same . Thanks for sharing your experience!

That was a kind thing to do; but I don't know how the mother would feel about the child getting chocolate to stop his crying! Have a wonderful Tuesday.

@LindaOHio thanks alot ! No doubt you have a very good point,I also think seeing the mother has all the right in the world to ask me to not gift her child but, didn't is a clear indication she is okay with me getting her child a pack of chocolate! Have a wonderful Tuesday too

I'm surprised the mother would allow you to get the chocolate for her son.
