Monday & Daily Health Report for August 23

I said I wouldn't step on the scale for a week. Do you know how hard it is not to do that? It stares at me every time I go in the bathroom and treats me like I did something wrong. Anyway, I'm determined not to let it win the staring contest. It's been a good day today. I've done very well with steps and exercise. Walking was out of the question. My right knee couldn't handle the walk. I went out to walk around the parking lot and it almost gave out on me. So, today, I'll exercise while watching TV. I have two exercise sessions so far today, so I have all my steps and my minutes are good too. I also have all my hourly steps, so it's been a good exercise day. Yesterday was a good exercise day. You already know it was a major cheat day. I didn't record those numbers. It would have been impossible anyway with the potluck and not knowing all the ingredients of what I ate. It was delicious though. Okay, here are yesterday's fitness numbers. Steps: 16,631 Miles: 6.27 Activity/Exercise: 121 Minutes Water: 4 Calories burned: 2304 That's how I did. How did you do with food and exercise yesterday? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

Well you did great with the exercise/activity part....and you deserved the treat! I understand about the scale though....it's hard not to step on it every day just out of habit too.

@just4him No problem....and that is for sure. I usually step on it more than once a day so I wouldn't be able to stop for a week!

@MommyOfEli2013 I stepped on it this morning so I would know how much more I need to lose. I wasn't surprised by the total.

@DianneN That works too, but you might need to swim when you get to the oceans.

@just4him Thanks! It started then totally stopped for a few days. Then started back up again. Now it is gone again. That is why I think it is the Arthritis because it is Chronic.

My husband insisted on getting new batteries for our scale. So now I get to step on the thing and hear it announce to the world not only how much I weigh but also get a canned insult. (The scale talks in a bratty man's voice.)

Nice writing: "...I'm determined not to let it win the staring contest." Are you still winning? I cycled five miles today, but it was before the heat became intense.
