Is it just us here right now or are you also having these uninvited guests ? I have been looking for supplements that I can take that will repel theses pests. I use garden fogger but I think it's not not effective enough because there are still mosquitoes. Are you taking some supplements that repel mosquitoes? Are there things we can do for these pests to die not just go somewhere and come back. Thank you again guys. I'm off to bed now. See you guys tomorrow :-) Have a goodnight (good morning to the people half a world away from us) :-)

Not always practical, but a simple solution is to run a fan outside. They can't fly in the wind.

We're thinking how much the electric bill will be at the time we have to pay bills :-( It seems this pests welcomes themselves inside the house as soon as we open the door :-( I searched and found out that there's this plant CITRONELLA. Then there are coils that have citronella in them. Then there are sticks that looks like incense. I'm happy to have discovered these alternatives. There are also mosquito coils that can burn for 5-7 hours, to be placed outside.

@porwest Where we are has been hot (El Paso,TX). No standing water nor excessive moisture (how I wish, for almost a month not even 2 inches of rain, collectively has visited us). BUT, there's this tree that the owner hasn't attended to for almost 6 months now. The branches are touching the ground and my husband had to show it to him and husband asked if there's somebody who could help us cut it. The owner who is a tightwad said, no, I can do it, I have a chainsaw, I'll do it. I wonder how many days he'll come here and really do what he told my husband that he'll do it. Thank you Jim for taking your time to share your thoughts. I will consider the fan thing. You have a good day. Still, keep safe.

@baguiojade Those things can be helpful as well, but probably cost way more than the electricity of running a fan. Also, you can look for certain 'environmental' elements that you can fix or reduce to help keep them at bay. Wherever there is standing water or excessive moisture, that's where they lay their eggs. If you can remove any of those conditions, it leaves less places for them to lay eggs.

how many time do you have to re-apply ? Will it be like applying sunscreen? I've read that applying sunscreen isn't just 1 time application, it takes about 3x or even 5x (for extreme cases).

This mosquito menace is everywhere. They have become immune to the mosquito killer or repellant fumes that we use and are more dangerous to human beings than the mosquitos.

I hope it's placed outside of your home, because I'm reading that it causes lots of health problems and that's now what we all we want (you, me and our families). Be careful.
