I had a wonderful dinner of leftovers.

There are times when I just adore my microwave oven. Not all the time because I love to cook and a good cook adds ingredients little by little. But I make more than one batch of food and then I can eat them as leftovers if you want to call them that way. Today I had cooked rice that I had made for today. They still some for other day but this evening I heated some with the black beans I prepared for Tania. In 3 minutes, the microwave oven called me telling me that it was heated. The dish was better that when I made it. There are several dishes that gain with a stay in the fridge. The bolognese sauce I thawed for lunch was also better than when I cooked it.

I think flavors develop in leftovers and they are often better than the original meal.

I think so too. This dish was better than when I made it for Tania.

Microwave is one of the great inventions. You can have food in a few minutes because of it.

Well, there's nothing wrong with eating leftovers. Well, if you create new dish using leftovers can be a nice thing to add flavors and new ingredients added for it. This way you are reinventing and making a new kind of dish you'll get to try. If it turns out not okay, well then it can be a lesson next time not to repeat it.

@marguicha Yes, I do have a friend who are like that also, Living alone can help you cope and learn to ldepend on your own. Cooking leftovers can also be challenging at times like this. But it is fun to learn new recipes and create trhings from it.Just hope to have a better taste for it to be consumed.

I love the microwave for reheating food too. I always seem to have leftovers when I cook so it's just easy to heat and eat those leftovers.

Some of my leftovers turn into omelets but others go to the microwave, specially stews.

We no longer use our microwave. Leftovers are served in new and creative ways. They are frequent visitors to our table.

It's true that some dishes improve by standing for a while. The flavours seem to develop more.

Microwaves are so helpful. Leftover nights and microwaves go hand in hand and are always pretty good as well because all the flavor has finally been able to soak into the food and not having to cook for the evening is nice!

I know. At night I am tired and have no interest in spending time in cooking. Leftovers and microwave ovens help a lot.
