Are you one of those lucky people who received a very special heirloom/inheritance from your parents or grand parents? Or some rare cases, are you a care giver who luckily received a great heirloom or inheritance from your patient? Because you deserved it? Most of the inheritance handed over are real estate property or a business establishment. It feels like you won a lottery but there is a meaningful person behind it... Someone who gave you the best treasure they have. It's a precious gift can't be compared to any other fortune. When my parents died, they left me with a spacious house on a province and a residential condominium in the big city. I was so surprised. I immediately think to lease it for rent so I don't have to work my entire life but it's also a sacrifice because I never had to experience the luxury of living on a classy condominium in Manila. Do you think I made the right choice?
How about you guys? Would you like to share your heirloom/ inheritance?

I would most probably rent it out and get the income. Personally for me my idea of financial freedom is not having a boss and not being forced to work from 8-5 five or six days a week. We all have our preferences, I never wanted to live in a classy high rise condo, I prefer a modest size one story house in a large lot with lots of plants and trees, but again we all have our preferences.

Thanks for the comment bro. Perhaps we are the same about this idea. I actually like your idea of living in a spacious place good enough to farm vegetables and fruit bearing trees. That will be a healthy and productive life. They say the best things in life are for free.

welcome to myLot ma friend, we dont have anything to receive from our parents except their efforts, sweat and blood to make us finish our schooling thats all. now as being independent we are trying to provide goodlife and inheretance to our future children for whatever God provides and God's will

That's a good and positive statement. As we grew older, we realize that there is nothing more important than seeing our children to live happily and knowing that they are doing fine in the future. Perhaps this is the best time to think of a good inheritance we can pass on to our children. Because a true loving parent is never selfish. We can never live forever we all should go at the right time. But our memories and living blood shall stay within our children. Do you agree? Thank you for sharing.

i associate heirlooms with objects like jewelry, antiques, etc. i associate inheritance with house, land, business.
if you are renting the big house and the classy condo, are the revenues not enough to live on?

I think you are right but they are synonyms anyway. lol Well, thank you for defining it more precisely. I never really talk this way to anyone because I don't have a foreigner friend. Then about the revenues, I'm not really belong to white collar job people, so I'm not earning that much. But I have job, and I just rent a cheaper room near my work. that way I'm earning better together with the income from condo rental.

I would share... try to make someone else's life a little better. Yeah, I have thought what I would do if something like that fell into my lap. :)
