Short story: Mullah Nusruddin shows his cheeky side.

There was a very contagious plague going through the country, and it had now hit the Mullah's town too.
By order of the mayor, everyone in the town had to wear a facemask.
Even the Mullah, as afraid as anyone else in the town, had agreed to wear one too.
Now the Mullah was known to be a rebel, so the townspeople were just a little bit surprised when the Mullah had complied without any remonstrations.
Not even a word had come from his lips.
He had complied, without even a murmur.
Then, a day after this decree was passed to wear a mask at all times whilst in public, the Mullah, a religious leader, and a respected scholar, who was always espousing his wisdom, was seen walking through the town, with only his g-string on, and his mask.
The Policeman came up to him to give him the chance to explain himself.
The Mullah put on his most serious face, as he answered him.
"Well, l was made to cover up my other cheeks, so l decided to show these ones now instead."
He was arrested, just the same, for his cheeky irreverence to the mayor's decree.
Moral:
Sometimes, we show too much cheek for our own good, at other times we do show enough!

The Mullah wearing his face-mask was a sight for sore eyes.

Yes. I am glad you saw the humour in my story.
It was inspired today, when l saw a fat middle-aged lady, in my local shopping centre today, wearing a g-string, with a short dress/skirt on, on a very windy day, but with her face mask on, in the cold of a cold winter's day too.
It was a shocking sight to behold.
I just had to write it up in a humerous short story, hence this tale.

I thought the POTUS will never wear it but he too showed he was also human or felt danger was close at hand.
I heard if only we wear a mask the danger is 50%, but if everyone wears it we can all be protected.
Some tend to tempt fate though.
The mullah had a tongue in cheek response befitting his reputation though his dress code hardly went right especially for a mullah - siva

"Tongue in cheek"?
I won't say any more about that, given the cheekiness of this post already. It's already twice as cheeky as my other posts usually are...lol....
"POTUS"?
I had to look the meaning of that one up.
{POTUS = The president of the United States (POTUS)}
Yes, I guess that was a president, sorry, I mean precedent, for that town, for someone to play their trump card like that, and bare it to the world, rather than keep it hidden behind their other cards, in their hand.

@Shiva49 They had some ladies on bikes wearing G-strings here on the news here too, wearing masks, and nothing much else either, too bad if they had fallen off onto the gravel.
Humour in hard times, I suppose. We need the Mullah to still be around..lol...

@innertalks I have been seeing a few posts here also about ladies going shopping wearing a mask, even a painted one at that, but practically nothing else! I couldn't bring myself to comment on them though!
America has FLOTUS too ("First Lady of the United States") - siva
