I have decided to continue my learning. I am trying to earn a certificate in nutrition and health. I already have a Master's Degree in Family Counseling, but I think this will benefit my career. Our diet affects our emotions and cognitive state as well as our physical bodies. I am 51 years old and still enrolling in school. I just can't get enough knowledge.

My daddy always said that learning should not be something that happens in a classroom. It should be a way of life.

That's very good! I like learning as well but I don't like going to school. I use the internet for that.

More than a decade back , age had a correlation with learning but as much as I remember that from late 90s the trend has changed. It is definitely good to learn . By the way what is the curriculum or the major subjects in your course.... is that going to counsel patients on dieting habits to keep healthy or lose weight?

Right now it is a nutrition and health certificate that I am earning. I won't focus, solely on dieting and weight loss. I want to be able to counsel my clients to understand how diet and exercise affect their emotional and mental state. Also there are many who don't understand that poor eating habits often flow out of emotional and mental issues that need to be resolved. Later, I hope to go on and get a certificate in holistic and natural healing. I believe in whole body therapy. I approach the spiritual aspect of healing as well.
