I have been very worried that the number of covid-19 positive cases have been on the rise for the last two months though the highest we have had is 998 in 24hrs. Now the say we are 'flattening the curve'.
The question that has been bothering me is whether they are testing lower numbers than they used to which is leading to lower positive cases!!
I just think its too soon to celebrate or brush off things.
How is it where you are?

Not great but we seem to be coming out the other end.
I expect there will be all sorts of enquiries about how this was handled and i hope we learn to do better for the next virus that is bound to come along.

I just hope that with time, this will be history and that the next virus will come after a century

Some people are just irresponsible, specially with hygiene and lack of using mask and face shield.

Yes I am seeing many people not following things properly and a few not wearing masks in public places.

People have relaxed especially when they consider recovery cases.

India is having a high caseload. The number of recovered is also high but the situation is pretty serious.
The issue is that in some places, people look like getting impatient and not following the strict practices prevalent during the lockdowns.
And lockdowns would also be not good as they would mean more economic losses, which would be bad as Indian GDP has already taken a big hit.

@aureliah Yes unfortunately that is happening in most of the countries.

According to a website that is tracking COVID cases in the US state of California, as of August 31 at 11 am we have (had?) 704,085 cases, which is up .06%.

Before, in the early months, the testing kits are limited. When we had testing kits, the number of cases blew up. Yesterday we had 3K new cases.

@nawala123 We just hope that soon numbers can start going down. I have been planning to visit Bali and once things normalize I will go there
