In my country, we often tell people that often do nasty stupid careless clumsy people as "brain in knee". I dont know whether it is undrstandable in other country or culture or not
but this expression is based on fact brain should in a head and used to think properly

Haha.. those who are extremes we say they have thier brains in their toe nails

We here too use the same saying. And for really stupid acts, we often say that your brain stays in your toe nails
