September has started off very well for us including for our son’s French girlfriend.
She received her jurisprudence (the theory or philosophy of law) degree from her law school. It’s such an honor and we are very proud of her! If our son marries her, , we will have 5 lawyers in our family. And we never know when another one will come in handy!
She will spend the year studying for the bar exam. I heard changes are being made to it.
I had to black out her name. Wow! She has five names! I suppose it’s a French custom.

Many thanks! Our son mentioned last month that he wouldn't be opposed to marriage anymore. ().
He is thinking of having her move in with him. As it is, she spends Wednesday nights there, and Friday to Monday afternoons, too. She has a kitty cat problem, and once that issue is solved, she will move in. They both hate the idea that the ex once lived there, so our son may look for another house. Everything is up in the air for now.

Hopefully we’ll never see her on a billboard: “If you’ve been injured in an accident call me!”
Congrats to her!!!

Congratulations to her on earning her degree! I hope she does well on the bar exam! What type of law does she want to go into?

@DianneN A low-paying job in law still makes more money than most other people's careers! lol

It must be. I've seen French people who had multiple names. That was a few hundred years ago though. I didn't know it was still the practice.
That's totally awesome! It would be great to have another lawyer in the family. Can't have too many of them.

I've only heard of multiple names in books I've read. I don't believe I know anyone with 5. If the kids marry, she will have 6!
Right! I had no idea how many different specializations one could have in law until my son went to law school. One choice was securities and another was securitization. Very confusing for me. lol

Congratulations! My youngest is a lawyer. She is a judge and is it hadn´t been for the COVID, she´d been aiming for the Court. Our legal system is different from yours though.
