Street Children during pandemic

Philippines
September 3, 2020 1:38pm CST
Just after I had my swab test and heading back to the hospital entrace, we encounter this homeless guy. Who happens to be not wearing either mask or shield. Then while on way, I took a picture about a bunch of kids the same thing. I guess law enforcement is not strict anymore or they just ran faster that they couldn't be caught. Sounds like they are even more healthier than any one i know who is more cautioned.

They may have antibodies or are carriers. Just keep away from them!

I have been seeing those lately too. I just feel sad for their plight that they are out there and they are expose to be infected or they may be carriers already and are spreaders of the virus already. l just hope the government can do something to at least compel them to wear the necessary protection so they can avoid getting it or they can stop spreading the virus if they have it.

@Letranknight2015 True. living in those places will definitely force you to stay out to get fresh air. We have that one in our barangay and it is in their place that the infection is at the highest that’s why they imposed a localized lockdown in their area.

Hello @rsa101 They probably live in the squatters area and they can't stand to stay in small cramp placed for long.

They may seem ok for now, but who knows in coming days. Or maybe the are asymptomatic and unknowingly infecting others. Not everyone is staying safe or keeping things safe for others . . . best for you to do what you can to protect yourself!!

Hello @much2say That can be a possibility since they don't even do personal hygiene since they lack access to public restrooms.

Several people are asymptomatic but infectious. Better to steer clear and stay safe.

@Letranknight2015 Give them anyway, because it's our duty as our brothers' keepers.

That's true @eileenleyva and I think even if you give them free clothe mask, they might just throw it away.

Hope you are okay and a few people are like that they just don´t wear anything and no one seems to mind either.
