Overcoming my introvert personality

I started to overcome my shyness when I joined the Young Men Christian Organization (YMCA) when I was third year high school. Then I learned to be interacting with the group of students when I joined the Math and Science Club and the society of honor students.
I was able to overcome my fear of facing the crowd when I was auditioned to join the Glee Club. What a good feeling I had to sing before an eager multitude of people and gave us the loud applause and accolade.
My fear of getting along with other students gradually diminished for I felt how the group welcomed and treated as a part of the family. In the group we take care each other.
My fear of not being wanted by the group was overcome when I passed the initiation of Math and Science. I was blindfolded and entered a topsy-turvy room. I had to find my way out to get out from the room by following an unknown voice. I did obey what voice had told me. I learned later that it's our great grand master.
In a nutshell, I overcome my shyness because of the following:
1. Joining the group
2. Feeling of belongingness
3. Receiving approval
4. Obeying the still small voice

Good tht you were able to get out of your shell. I am very much an introvert so I love working online and it is being able to connect with others over the Internet that makes me enjoy my online time,

That is a great thing that you were able to do in a planned way. Shyness can hurt our chances in many ways and it is good to overcome it in the best ways we can.

Sound and doable advice.
The Math and Science initiation or group dynamics look challenging and exciting to be a part of.
