Work from Home -- What you don't like about it

September 4, 2020 1:19pm CST
Since covid19, Many companies allowed their employees to work from home. And this culture may be used in future as well this way saving money on Infra part. I had a word with my friends who are doing work from home and list down positive points and negative points. 1) Work From Home (WFH) helped and saved their travelling time and travelling cost. 2) Healthy home made food being served to them. 3) They can wear anything 4) They can sit the way they want (Unless you are in a video meeting) 5) You are not physically seen hence sometimes you can leave the seat and go and do your personal work too 6) You log out is your log out and it doesn't followed by any comments from your colleague saying why you are leaving early. Here come be cons -> I had lot of complains, but I am tried to group them. 1) You will get call anytime,Since you have office system at home, they request you to help them out with issues, which doesn't give you any kind of compensation in your working hours or in your salary as Over Time. 2) Happiness of Wishing on Morning, Seeing faces and Different Happiness on Friday is taken away, It was friday when they used to wish everyone happy weekend. 3) Meetings on personal Internet is quiet frustrating for them.I can't see the screen, I can't hear you, Waiting for 2 members to join. etc etc 4) Whatsapp group were created for Official updates which became more frustrating for all. They keep beeping on weekends too! 5) No salary increment this year. 6) Two Back office friends told me, when they used to work in office there used to a 10 mins break where they used to talk and flush their frustration to have a clean mind during the work. Now this is missing which is causing problems for them with their family members now. What are your problems. And how you handle them ?

My son loves working from home. No cons about it. He's a NYC big time attorney and can work from anywhere in the world.

It comes to his comfort zone. As we don't need to wear office wears. We can be on our pajamas That make it more relaxing then those fitting pants and shoes which hurts sometimes

I don't have to work online, but my older son is doing it and loves it. His only worry was having the kids work quietly with their online schooling. He lived in Manhattan, but now has a house in New Jersey and a quiet office.

I don´t work anymore and so I don´t have this issue. The time of working at home has taken the joy of coming home.

In my opinion the items your highlighted are right. As a cons I'd also say some people might get some weight of being sitting down all working hours and not being able to walk around to move their muscles or having some exercise!

Correct. Exercise will be the key. If you are not doing it then we can put on weights
