Life is tough but I’m tougher

Life can be challenging at times. There are moments that I just try my best to deal with negative situations but it doesn’t work. I have poor coping skills in facing unpleasant circumstances. It’s been this way for a long time but my nature of not giving up led me to a new way. I came across an article online and it was an eye opening moment for me. I’ve used the wisdom I’ve gained and applied to my life. When facing a difficult situation I ask myself if I can control it. If not I just change the way I react. How do you cope with unpleasant situation? Photo credit: Pixabay

That is great advice. Sometimes I realize that there is just no way around some things, you must go through instead. Worry less, pray more

Life is always challenging. Difficult situations most often unnerve us. Negativity, however, does not help at all. In conversations, never agree if you don't agree. If the verbal exchange turn infuriating, count ten seconds before you answer. You might want to change your words. Never utter anything you wouldn't want to hear your self. If there are problems posted, find solutions. That's the easiest way to get out of difficult situations.

I sometimes agree in conversations to keep the peace but it's not the right way to do. When something become so overwhelmingly upsetting I just leave the conversation. I give myself a timeout and the person too. I like finding solutions to problems makes life a bit easier.

I just try to remember they aren't as bad as they could be. My coping skills are below average though. I have had too many soul crushing things happen in the past few years. I feel like I don't have any reserve now.

Sometimes I cope better and other times I'm weak. I think being hopeful and optimistic kind of changes things.

I agree to that title. Life could be tough at times but God made us tougher.

I too feel that I have a lot to learn in dealing with unpleasant situation. At times, I lose focus or patience but I have seen that persistence and foregoing of ego helps. Also being tactful and careful also comes in handy, but in a calculated way. And over-stressing never helps.

@meowch Sometimes I think I still manage to overcome situations related to my work life but family matters present another challenge.

I like the way you think. Persistence the way you say it and being calculated in a way seems the best way to deal with uneasy situation.
