Whatever the reason, my scalp has been so dry lately! I think it may be the humidity in my area? Because of this, I've been feeling the urge to itch my head a lot... Do any of you have some remedies that you make or purchase? I love 'do it yourself' projects! I've made hair masks before to keep my ends healthy, but I haven't had an issue with my scalp until now! I'm looking to my myLot friends for advice :)

@joyleee I itch my head too. Sorry, no remedies for me here. Did you try googling it to see what they say or ask your doctor?

Yes, I looked it up and a lot of sources say that an apple cider vinegar rinse is supposed to help? I tried it twice and I'm not sure if it worked! I think it may have reduced some of the itchiness, but it's nothing drastic.

Apply hair oil. It works best to nourish the dry scalp

How long do I apply this for? I will be sure to get some hair oil the next time I am at the store.

@joyleee apply it the right before you shampoo your hair. That works best while some apply it an hour before washing as well

I have some scalp and hair issues too. I dont know what caused it, maybe it has something to do with general health and diet. The hair fixes I tried did not seem to work much. I can put some hair oil when I need it to look good but that only attracts more dust to stick to hair so I dont do that everyday. These days I cannot live without using a nit comb at least every other day, to remove the dandruff is that combination of shampoo residue, dust on the scalp and they are sooo itchy..

Maybe I should invest in a nit comb too! Dandruff isn't necessarily my problem, it's just the itchiness, but perhaps this will help.

I also experienced dandruff but it wasn't weather caused but from stressed lol We have this hair care technique called "Co-Washing" also known as Conditioner Washing where you shower and only used Conditioner for your hair... sometimes, shampoos are too drying as well as it removes the natural moisture of your scalp. I used to Co-wash back in the day It did helped with my scalp's moisture. Another tip, Use Keratin enriched conditioner as it helps in repairing damage strands. Hope this helps!

Maybe stress is a factor too! Classes have recently started up and I'm feeling super overwhelmed lately. Yes, I've heard about only using conditioner on you hair or a no-shampoo cleanse for a month. My only concern would be that I don't necessarily want my hair to look greasy!

Hi there, I used to have the same problem. Easy home remedies that help include: -Applying baking soda paste (baking soda+water) for a few minutesbefore washing it out - Applying toothpaste for a few minutes before washing it out Home remedies help but they wear off with time and you have to do them again and again. Purchase remedies: -Selsun 2.5% -Head and Shoulders These shop/chemist products are very affective

Thank you so much! I love some good hair masks! Since I am doing schooling from home due to COVID, this will be a good opportunity to do during the school day!
