Don't do what?
Take ACTONEL / RISEDRONATE SODIUM .
I'll let my sister-in-law tell you why.
As most of you know I snapped my femur several days ago while standing and had to have it surgically repaired.
The orthopaedic surgeon who fixed my femur told me that the break was caused by the bone metabolism regulator that I've been taking once a week for almost 4 years. Yes, this is an unusual side effect, but it is one that people should be made aware of.
Last year, in the spring, I developed a fracture in my tibia without a fall or any other injury. I know now that this was probably due to the same drug.
Since the tibia fracture, I have been using a cane because of bone pain.
I didn't see any reference to danger when I read the side effect paperwork that came with the drug. That's why l'm trying to let other people who are using this medication know that they need to have their doctors take a second look and to see if there is something better and less harmful out there.
The drug is called Actonel Dr, but it is also sold under several other names, dependent upon which drug manufacturer has produced it.
The main ingredient in the medication is Risedronate sodium. People who are using any version of this medication should check for this ingredient.
This makes me so glad that I stopped taking it after a few months. My body just didn't like it. I wonder if anyone's started a class action suit against the manufacturers.

Hopefully she fine now. I know I took a medication years ago ans had such side effects. The doctors refuse to admit it was it until I stopped them. Most doctors get a portion of payout for each fill.

@BarBaraPrz Because they get a % of return each fill. Its sad honestly but it's about a money society. I've learnt dont always believe doctors. They just guess what us wrong.
