All through my life
Growth occurs when I have been beaten
From the count of five
My consciousness wakes after its eaten
From my part of the world
I queried knowledge who always comes last
Over abroad, with their beautiful odd
They carved out pleasure living in the edge
Were we relaxed and never questioned nature?
Are there price for staying unassuming?
Learnt that there's fulfillment in searching,
There is an attempt of 'God-ing'
So we felt it was better to stay in the mix -
If you want good ending you stay finding,
You want a normal life you are down pretending
I don't want to pretend any more,
I lack knowledge,
I never knew the great deposits in human
So I am here chasing 'Anna' instead of paper
Anna made paper, Anna is a mother!
Mother is a pro-nature -
Anna is the new currency.

Hey Lena,
Sorry I may not sound so clear or directional in my poem. The summary is to say that finding resource in human is better than any material thing. Thus 'Anna is new currency'
From the beginning, I created a scenario where I compared the both world of my African community and the western world. I brought in knowledge into play because it clearly showed that was why we all are not on the same level.
The knowledge to make money or the knowledge to be more humanistic...
So I chose Anna, which means the knowledge to be more humanistic.
I did like to see some of your poems too.
Hoping to hear from you.

@Doubleyou44 Thank you for explaining the poem. I think I understand it more now. I do not share my poetry here. Might have done that once but not sure. I do have it online though.
