Do you always like the post

Sometimes it becomes very wierd....when in the post the person os sharing his griefs, complaining or it is a sad announcement. Liking the post in literal terms means we are actually liking the wrong the person is a going through...hahah And sometimes I feel I should just comment and not leave a like on the post. Have you ever felt like this?.

I do, mainly out of acknowledgment and habit. It doesn't mean I "like" that there's sad/bad news, just that I've read the post.

Never felt that way. You can share empathy but liking the post for it being written well. Giving a message went in the right direction. This also comes down to perception we all perceive things differently. So liking and not likely is really up to you. If something bad happens or I’m sad and someone likes it it doesn’t make me feel bag that they did or didn’t.

@amitkokiladitya there is many ways to see it. I always picture things as a box since nobody sees the same thing the same way.

As the like is a form of acknowledge that we have read the post, I do not feel that it's weird to like every post we read.

I often feel that way. I look at the like button as a way of saying I read the post, but it does seem bad to "like" a sad post.

yea I agree with you, even on fb. But maybe it can mean supporting the person who writes it.

Yes...maybe that is the only way of rendering support here.

It depends on the nature of the post. Auto-liking posts are simply illogical and can be insensitive. I try to first read the whole post before thinking if I should like it. If it's an interesting topic and where discussions can be good, I like it. But if it's a post about grief or negative things, I simply comment on my thoughts and well wishes, more often than sometimes. Same as through with other social media, that's why they added some more emojis to show how we feel about their post.

Auto liking.... what is that
8 Sep 20
@amitkokiladitya Auto-liking is the act of liking an article or post without reading or being interested in its contents. For example, I'm scrolling through Facebook or Instagram, and just Like each post I see without even looking at it or being interested in the post itself.
