When we were first married, we had an Afghan Hound.
Our Afghan Hound surprised us one evening when we played an album on the stereo by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Yes, it was a long time ago.
Tazi, which means greyhound in Afghani, burst out singing to that song to our surprise.
As it turned out, Tazi sang to many other songs he heard. Eventually, he sang on command.
It was nice having a dog to amuse us with his talent. We think of him often.

This touched my heart, Dianne:) We had a dog that loved to sing, also. Teddy would go 'ape' whenever he heard 'GhostBusters!' He enjoyed music, as did Tazi!

@DianneN My daughter's chocolate lab C.J. would smile big, when we sang Happy Birthday!

Awwww that is so sweet. My sister had a dog and whenever her son would play the harmonica he would sing. It was adorable. My dad's dog use to sing whenever he would take him for a drive in the car. He would start as soon as the car started but as soon as Dad shut the car off he would stop. It was so cute. They all have their own little personalities.

Not all dogs are the same, I´ve seen. Luna did not bark when she was a puppy. She emited cat like meeous (how do you write that in Ehglish?) and I thought she would never learn to bark like a proper dog. Once I was in the bathroom (I always miss all the important things) when I heard a powerful bark outside of my bedroom. I ran! And there was Luna BARKING to a dog that was passing by. She only yelps in the morning to say good morning and when Tania comes (she is a special friends of hers)

@oahuwriter You could say that, at least when he sang.

Dogs are so smart. I don't doubt that he would've sung the song, had he had the ability to speak.

That is the cutest ever. I guess I could use a furry pet who would be vocal we could sing together

That's adorable! I know that cats are natural music lovers. One of our cats used to walk on our piano keys just to make music. If the keys were covered, he'd wait on the piano until I opened the cover that kept the keys clean. Kitties and doggies are so amusing!
