I had to do some errands yesterday and the hot hot day depleted my energy. I went to my favorite buko (young coconut) stand and had the delightful dessert above to reenergize. And yeah, it cooled me down. With the pandemic affecting the country, I was worried that the shop might have been closed down, like many other small businesses. Fortunately, the shop is still standing although compared before, there were only a few customers. Still better than nothing. The staff said they are also venturing to accepting orders online. Seems like it’s the new trend now for the food industry. Anyway, what food energizes you?

my smoothies do the trick fer me. lots 'f vitamins/minerals'n such. i envy ya the heat 's canada sent's a doozy 'f a cold front, bless 'em. most places here've been call'n order/pick'p fer months. a few 've semi-opened, though 'llowed 'nly 10 folks't a time - not worth the staff to be paid :(
