We are celebrating the National Teacher's month this September to honor our beloved Teachers. In my family, some of them were Teachers before. My late GrandMa and brother, and my Aunt who just recently retired on the service. Before entering College,my GrandMa wants me to pursue BSED(Bachelor of Science in Education)as my course. But I refused, because I want something else to take up.For me,to be a good Teacher, you have the passion, you really like it,you must love what you do.I think Teaching isn't for me!Although I knew for myself that Teaching is a noble job,a well respected profession.I saw it on my GrandMa,she was a beloved Teacher by her collegues and her student as well.Even they said that GrandMa was a terror one, strict but kind. She was very helpful, generous teacher to her students.I guessed that's the reason why they love her.If she was alived, she was 90 years old by now.Untill now, some of her students, still keep in touched with our family. They became closed to my GrandMa's children;my mom and to her siblings, some of them is our God mothers.By the way,GrandMa was a Mathematics Teacher in a Public High school before.
An Elementary Teacher of mine,'till now recognizes me,even more than 2 decades has passed.I usually saw her in the mall,I am glad that everytime I greeted her and she still know my name.
I said before that I don't wanted to be a Teacher, but now not by Profession,I volunteered to teach my niece and nephew, since it's home schooling now.I have to research, study and make some lessons to teach to my 5 year old nephew.Actually,it's an everyday challenge,to get his attention and make him focus to our daily activities.A little bit tiring,But fulfilling, because I have something contributed to his milestones. And for me that is such a big reward!
Now I know how hard to be a Teacher! How they sacrifices are just to fullfill their jobs.To the Teachers of my nephew duting his pre-school last year,so much Thanks because you've turned him to be a better one, also to my niece's Teacher,a big Thank you!And for my Teachers and Professor,I really appreciated to what you did for us.Thank you for helping and moldings us,for being what I am today! To all the Teachers out there,A big round of applause, your not just an ordinary Teacher, but the second parent at school!Salute!
