My Brother is Dead

I am so lost and confused. He fought so hard and I found his body, yesterday. It didn't even take 4 hours before my other brother came to see what he could take. He kept asking me why I was crying.
The only time that I did not live in the same house as my brother was about 6 years of my life. He was just my brother, he was my friend, he was my protector, he was my pest, he was my hero over and over again.
I don't know how to function. Last night I thought I heard him fall and went charing upstrairs to help him and then remembered. I am so lost.

I don't plan on seeing my other brother every again after we spread the ashes. I won't let him in my home.

I should have been prepared, but the doctor said he had another 10 years probably because his surgeries went so well.

Those bad feelings have been around for years. I do have some family that is very caring and kind. I am going to choose to hang out with those.

I know how you feel. For the moment you might be a little disoriented. It's the shock. Eventually your mind will wrap itself around the reality that he is no longer here. I know you are in pain. I grieve with you. Cherish your memories.

Yes, he had many. But after his last surgery, they said he was good for probably at least another 10 years. I was counting on that.
