When daughter was a toddler my family lived in Northern Idaho for two years. The primitive life. And a life that did not include luxuries like good stove pipe. Fire took our cabin.
My thoughts returned to those days this morning as I woke to deeply gray skies. Its not fog. Its fire weather. Folks far from me are undergoing life changing misery right now. God bless those brave souls who battle the fierce flames. God protect the seniors who lost their nursing home. I hope it rains very soon.

I'm so sorry you went through losing your home. I have been praying for cooler temps and a lot of rain; but they are saying that El Nino will bring only more drought.

Fire can kill, people, animals and dreams, yet we need its warmth.

The destructive power of fire. Thank God for the lives spared.
