Hello Again!

My days just aren't long enough. I'm lucky to get my day started by noon. I do stretching exercise after my shower. Then breakfast while on the computer, blow dry my hair then hit the treadmill. By then it's time to consider dinner. I don't get any reading done until midnight or so. My thoughts have been stirring with additions to the novel I've been writing but no real time to write. (Also, the basketball playoffs took over for awhile but the Raptors are out now so I only have baseball to look forward to).
I was getting very discouraged. I haven't been working on my novel. I've been working my butt off on the treadmill and seeing no results. I actually feel like I'm getting fatter. I had a nightmare about that last night. So this morning I hit my daughter's digital scale. What? Down almost 10 pounds? I was stuck at 4 forever. So progress made means a pick-up in motivation.
I watch YouTube videos on writing and they have given me ideas of what I want to add to my story. If only our writing club were allowed to meet, but quarantine prevents us. I have to force myself to get at it!
I'm also reading like a maniac... into the wee hours of the morning (like now... it's 2am but only this late because I finished a book and had to write my review). I even splurged and bought a bunch of books. I shouldn't have but I did. When those emails come in with deals I jump on them.
My husband's job is safe for now, but it has changed. He is no longer working shift work. He is working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday. It's quite an adjustment for him. He is exhausted.
I wish we had a vacation coming up but alas travel is not in the cards for us. We don't want to risk it. Both my daughters have been flying within the country. I am surprised nobody has caught COVID with 4 members of this house (includes the future son-in-law) out in the working world every day. We thank our lucky stars... and perhaps knock on some wood.
So that's what I've been up to. Add to all that my issues with my health and the government trying to get my medical records from my doctor for my Disability Pension Application. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!!!
I leave it here for now. Hope you're all having a great weekend.

I still have 2 more loads of laundry to do. I restrict laundry and dishwasher to off-peak hours. We have a billing system for our electricity here for high-peak hours (business hours), mid-peak hours and low peak hours (after 7pm, weekends and holidays). I just found out that during COVID we've been being charged a flat rate across the board. It's supposed to help us since everyone is at home but, everyone is complaining about skyrocketing bills. $200+ more a month. It's crazy.

No one has shown any interest in doing that. We have a lot of technically challenged members. We have so many events we do with the library that had to be cancelled. We have one that happens in the fall that we are planning to do live online.

Some people would not consider watching YouTube videos busy. But I am learning a lot, and being entertained. Depression has really sunk in during this time. I rarely make dinners. The only thing productive is exercise and maybe reading (some may not call that productive) and of course laundry. There's always laundry! And groceries. My daughter was doing the groceries for me since I am immune compromised but now that she is back to work she only does it once in awhile.

@RebeccasFarm It is so stressful trying to make sure I am going the right way according to the arrows on the floor. I know that people who order online don't get what they ordered so I wouldn't take that risk. My niece ordered confetti birthday cake mix for her twin daughters' 4th birthday and they sent her carrot cake mix! Carrot cake? How does that equate to a birthday cake?
My husband went grocery shopping for me once during the seniors only early morning time frame. But he doesn't know what I want. I can't just write "oatmeal" on the list and expect him to bring home the exact box of Apple Cinnamon Lightly Sweetened oatmeal. My daughter knows exactly what I want without me having to write it out. There was a post somewhere about how to make a grocery list for your husband... it was photos of each product.

'tis good the family 't least 'tis stayin' healthy whilst bein' out'n the 'world'. i shudder to think here coz so many refuse to wear a mask 'r social distance. which's why the numbers'n our county 'tis so high...
could yer group not do a video chat 'r somethin'? i hear such's all the craze these days. that're ya jest need to shift yer priorities a bit. if'n gettin' yer novel written 'tis that 'mportant, ya should put'cher focus'n such 'n leave that reviewin' schtuff'n the back-burner.
will take a bit fer yer hubs to 'djust to the new schedule. he might find he prefers this o'er shift work?

My husband prefers this job over going back to the other factory. His co-workers/friends were a bit miffed that he was chosen because they have longer tenure but my husband is very reliable and lives just around the corner. Others find it difficult to get to work during snow storms because they live 1/2 hour or more away.
My group members are mostly technically challenged. Only a couple of people could do the zoom if they wanted but no one has shown interest. I am meeting up with a member today for some coffee/tea and a chat.
