Anger can also be a substitute emotion. By this, I mean that sometimes people make themselves angry so that they don't have to feel pain. Though anger cannot make the pain disappear completely, it only distracts you from it. But don't turn your anger to violence which might lead to serious trouble for yourself and the one you're showing your rage to.

Anger rises when there is displeasure over something annoying. It is an outburst of emotion.
It is all right to get angry on certain issues. It is bad if one is angry all the time.

Even you are a calm and gentle kinda person, still you can get angry at times and that is really not a big deal until you are causing any kind of destruction.

I confess to get angry every now and then, I get angrier when I dont achieve my goals. I guess it is healthy to let that anger go by expressing it. However it has to be expressed in a way that it doesn't hurt people.

Yes, sometimes it is healthy indeed to let the anger out of yourself just to feel better.
