Another New House for Them

Our older son found a different house to buy. He’s moving in on October 15th.
It’s a 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom beautiful colonial house with an office and huge rooms. It has an inground pool, a fenced in yard for the dogs, and gorgeous gardens.
He needed to move to Ridgewood, New Jersey to be closer to Manhattan and closer to various skating rinks. Both of our grandkids are still busy with their sports, but in different locations. Now they need to buy a second car and hire a maid.
Our poor son is on the road with our grandson every weekend for ice hockey games in three different states and horseback riding, and our poor daughter-in-law drives 40 minutes twice a day to our granddaughter’s ice rink.
They exhaust me!

Cute picture. All this moving is exhausting me. I hope everyone is settled for a while. That's a lot of driving around for hockey games and ice skating. Have a wonderful Monday.

He called us last night with so much information our heads were spinning. Our grandson has been winning first place in every tournament, so he keeps getting calls to play all over the place. He's so happy! Thanks and happy Monday to you, too!

When Carolina grew up, fortunately I knew a taxi driver so much that I could give his name for my daughter. Lately, parents slave a lot over their children´s different activities. I don´t remember doing so much. I was the kind of mother to tell them history as if it were a tale. My husband was more of the taxi driver kind. But we both knew that houses grew and shrinked depending on our children´s needs.

@DianneN Parents sometimes are too tired to take their children to their activities. Yet, in these days, an adult is needed many times

@marguicha You are right. Our boys grew up being driven to activities and picked up. That's what most parents have to do when living in the suburbs.

Oh my gosh how little they are here - so cute! I remember you said they wouldn't be moving until October . . . I don't know why I thought it was so far away - but crazy we are in mid-September now. I can imagine them being on the road for all their activities right now . . . the things parents will do for their kids! Hope they continue to stay safe and always be happy no matter where they live/go!

@DianneN If only the rinks could move closer to them . I used to know folks who'd travel pretty far to go skating each week . . . that's true dedication! But I know what you mean about the driving. Just a real busy, on the go family!

Thanks! They were going to move into a different house two blocks from where they currently live, but needed to be closer to certain ice rinks. Such a fine web they weave! Many thanks! All protocols are in place in the rinks and all are safe. Of course, I worry about all the driving now.

@DianneN I remember going to Chad's Cub Scout pinning. His father was suppose to turn him upside down, so he could receive his honorable badge. A man that I graduated with (Bob) stepped forward and flipped Chad upside down, while he receive his pin. I was so happy, Chad had no idea this was how it's done.

That is a lot of traveling. When do they find time to work? Sis used to do alot of that kind of thing when the boys were at home and had various activities.
