A new "project" for The Horse! Boredom be damned!

I just got a pair of Altec "Bolero" speakers in to restore. They are from around 1970. I have already fixed some damaged corners, and will work on them slowly and steadily for about two weeks. They should look good when I'm done.
They weigh only about 45 lbs each, so I may give them a listen. Internet reading suggests they're really good vintage loudspeakers. I'll charge $150 for the restoration. What "projects" are you working on these days?

I know you will do a fabulous job with these speakers. I'm working on a jigsaw puzzle, decluttering and trying not to catch the virus! Stay safe and healthy!

@LindaOHio Sounds like fun. Do you have any "assistants"? I love doing puzzles with kids.

@TheHorse 500. This one is a doozy. Lots of snow and white pieces.

You want new child laborers? I'll ship you two of them for the week. They are out of school because of the hurricane.

@thislittlepennyearns I'll get a prod with variable voltage. I wonder if a little switch goes off in 12-year-olds' brains that tells them "Everything your parents know is wrong."

@TheHorse 12 and 7. Maybe for the 12 year old. The seven year will literally help do anything, most of the time without being asked.

@agusariyanto I'm not sure, as I mostly deal with stereo gear. Some stereo gear that cost maybe $200 in 1968 can command $2000 now.

@TheHorse old and old stuff is very expensive here for collectors. Is it like that there too?

I'll be starting another large cross-stitch picture, just as soon as I frame up the last one.

@TheHorse It's too big to fit in the scanner but here's part of it.

@BarBaraPrz Nice! Hey, that looks a lot like my kitty. Her stripes are less distinct, though.

I have not restored anything for a long time and had plans to make a coffee table out of a tree trunk. However I put a clay dish of candles on it and it looks so good in the garden like that I am not going to do that any more. Yours looks like a good project and I hope we get to see the speakers when they are finished.

I’m finishing up the post-vacation project known as “do eight days’ Worth of laundry.” Not nearly as exciting or profitable as your project.....

@TheHorse — and the air immediately cleared up! And here we thought it was smoke from the wildfires.

I am focused on binge watching Chicago PD and constantly checking when episodes I've not seen are on TV so I can record them.
