A new "project" for The Horse! Boredom be damned!

I just got a pair of Altec "Bolero" speakers in to restore. They are from around 1970. I have already fixed some damaged corners, and will work on them slowly and steadily for about two weeks. They should look good when I'm done. They weigh only about 45 lbs each, so I may give them a listen. Internet reading suggests they're really good vintage loudspeakers. I'll charge $150 for the restoration. What "projects" are you working on these days?

Those should be real beauties when you finish. I'm working on Vendetta, my current project.

@TheHorse Yes. I've been working on it most of the year. I'm hoping to be finished by the end of the year. It's coming up fast now.

I did laundry, filled a box with clothes to donate, and now working on my photos. I have tons on my computer and I delete some every day, duplicates, etc. I know these speakers would look great when you are done.

I think they'll look really good. I did my laundry too (mostly sheets, for Vanny), but was it yesterday or the day before? I cant remember.

@CarolDM one of my pillow cases still looks a bit "oily." I will NOT send a picture to @Vandana7.

@NJChicaa Are you comfortable with it? My teacher friends are gagging about having to teach "virtually."

I know you will do a fabulous job with these speakers. I'm working on a jigsaw puzzle, decluttering and trying not to catch the virus! Stay safe and healthy!

@LindaOHio Sounds like fun. Do you have any "assistants"? I love doing puzzles with kids.

You want new child laborers? I'll ship you two of them for the week. They are out of school because of the hurricane.

How old are they? Should I buy a cattle prod?

@thislittlepennyearns I'll get a prod with variable voltage. I wonder if a little switch goes off in 12-year-olds' brains that tells them "Everything your parents know is wrong."

@TheHorse 12 and 7. Maybe for the 12 year old. The seven year will literally help do anything, most of the time without being asked.

They should look really nice when done. They have some damaged corners, but very few scratches.

@agusariyanto I'm not sure, as I mostly deal with stereo gear. Some stereo gear that cost maybe $200 in 1968 can command $2000 now.

I have not restored anything for a long time and had plans to make a coffee table out of a tree trunk. However I put a clay dish of candles on it and it looks so good in the garden like that I am not going to do that any more. Yours looks like a good project and I hope we get to see the speakers when they are finished.

@TheHorse The air is cold early in the morning and during night, but the days are still warm. As soon as I pick up the ripe tomatoes and peppers I remove the plants, the cold can come any day in October.

I am focused on binge watching Chicago PD and constantly checking when episodes I've not seen are on TV so I can record them.

That's good you have a new project. We have a repair to make to the caravan sink and a new aerial to put on the Toyota. And I'm burning leaf litter trying to make the place safer for summer. Other than that - nothing much. lol
