"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" the assumption is that this rule can be applied to most situations as long as there are no extremism and mental health issues involved. Extremist and people with mental health conditions may use this rule to justify harming others if that's what they want others to do unto them. In a sick and crazy World, people hurt others so others will hurt them, it is their delusional way of interpreting the Golden rule that perpetuates their perverted behaviour. It would have been nice if there is a truly Golden rule that can only be interpreted in one way regardless of the kind of World and Time we are living in. But then again, it is always nice to have dream.
