The Waiting Game Again

Unfortunately, I am playing the waiting game again today.
My prescription will be delivered to my house betweeen 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M.
That is an awful long time window. It means that I had to be up before that and be ready anytime to answer the door as they will not leave the prescription without a signature.
So, that is good that I have a few things to do around the house while waiting.
Do you play the waiting game often too?

I hate this wait period and especially the ones which are so long.

I hate when that happens that you have to play the waiting game and someone cannot come at a specific time and then you have the time to yourself. It is hard when you have to get up very early and not sure if someone will come early or in between or late.

No I do not, the only thing I usually have delivered are packages that I don't need to sign for or food delivery and on my app I can see exactly where the delivery person is in relation to my hous.e

I still go out a bit and don't play the waiting game much.
I want to do a big grocery haul this week and then after we are well-stocked I believe that I will go back to ordering it and picking it up curbside with the RCSS. Now that the kids are back to school, and the cold and flu season is here, I don't want to go out any more then I have to.
We have to wait until Monday when our butcher is in to order another side of beef, and then wait the 28 days it takes to age after the slaughter, and we will be good to stay in safe and sound.

That is too much of a stretch to wait.

I played the waiting game this morning for my groceries to be delivered. Thankfully they came early enough that it didn't disrupt the day.
Hope you get your prescriptions sooner rather than later

ugh, i'd be mighty cranky o'er such. used to've to wait fer the farrier. take off work'n sit here't the house. most times he ne'er showed 'n 'd not answer his phone....needless to say, i learnt how to tend to such myself.
i know 'tis hard to know the workload fer the day'n 'dvance (with yer delivery, not the farrier..), but a 12hr window?? ridiculous :(
