Missing each other

Me and my mother are badly missing each other. It will be almost a year since we met. And because of this Corona I'm avoiding travel to her place. She lives in another city which is 250km from my place.
And now there are days when we both need to into tears remembering each other.
Mother will be a mother no matter how big the kids grow.

I am on the same boat. I go to mom in April and she visits us in May end and stays here till June when university opens after summer break. This year virus has ruined everything. I miss mom.

Yes, a lot of plans have gone for a six!
My father had planned two trips these summers and both were cancelled. He needed these trips for a change, as he is quite old, and not using Internet, or smartphones. Yet how can one do so in the current situation.

@amitkokiladitya It has stretched so much and we all can feel the pinch. This house arrest gets depressing at times.

Oh that is quite heartening indeed. Yes, at times, we need or feel like being with someone very close. But yes, with the current situation, sometimes we are away from or cautious about meeting someone, who is even 40-50 Kms away.
Even I have not met most of the folks whom I know, nor my family.
And the way things are shaping up, it would be a very very long way before that happens.

Yes some people are casual about it and meeting many. We are still on the side of caution.
I wear mask even if I have to pick up a parcel from my society gate.

This virus has really made it tough. People need social contact and interaction and because of the chance of spreading the disease (especially risky to the elderly) one must remain away. Not physically seeing each other is definitely a hardship!

True, I can feel you. I also have to live far from my mom sometimes. I get this feeling. When she is around, we usually are unable to see how silently she cares for us. Once we are far away we realize that.
