The misuse---That is weird!

The country is not yet on flattened curve. Despite all measures advised by the government, the pandemic is not yet taking its toll. citizens here are not using their gear properly. Take this case:
1. The face mask should cover the entire nose, mouth, and chin from just below the eyes to the jaw.
2. The face shield should be worn over the mask, which should cover the entire face.
But what do I see here in my place?
A tricycle driver who is seated in his motorcycle is not using his gear as expected: his face mask is pulled down exposing his nose and mouth.
The face shield is like the sun visor already. It is pulled up; he is exposed now.
In my previous discussion, I posted about the race of ambulances. It is still possible that the virus, which thrives in the environment, could land on somebody else's nose, mouth, and eyes; he is susceptible to the disease.

I saw the father of my SIL last Sunday and was waiting for passengers to ride their tricycle and his mask was pulled down below his chin. Haaaay..
There are still a lot who are not properly informed. Sometimes, even those who implement the law are not following. It is now required to use face shield but those barangay officials who were telling the people to wear face shields are not wearing one. LOL
I am a bit guilty because yesterday, I went outside our house to pay our water bill. I went there at past 11 in the morning to make sure there are less people and I didn't pass by the police station. Hihihi I didn't wear my face shield, just a face mask.
In the afternoon, I had seen the posts of our police station that they had been confronting/apprehending (sita) those people who are not wearing face shields.

I always wear mask and face shield specially when going to some public places.But I avoid going out;juat to buy fresh fish, meat and vegetables nearby.

@acelawrites Yup, I also wear mask when I go out. Even if I just get my online orders at our gate, I also wear my mask. But with the face shield, I feel like I am suffocated when I wear one with my mask on. It's the one with foam. It's too hot. I ordered one that is worn like eyeglasses and I am waiting for it to be delivered today. Maybe that one is more comfortable to wear.

No matter how much the controls are, how at ease the contols such as face shield are or how important it is to keep the controls in place, we will still have people whom refused to obey the rule, even if we are in a country with strict rule.

@DianneN shields here are important because we do not really know if we may be infected in any place we thibk we won't. the problem is the residents feeling they have enough of the immunity to ward off the viruses circulating around in the environment.

that is good, and i hope the residents who do not follow the rule will be dealt accordingly. here, wearing mask but no shield is given the same fine (penalty) as a person who does not wear any mask or shield. where is justice? hahaha
