Don't Be Ridiculous

There once was a man named Balki who came from the Greek Island of Mypos. He was a curious fellow, but sometimes wise even if he was not always in the know about the ways of this curious world we call America. But he WAS entertaining. And of course, as things often do become sometimes, some things he encountered were absolutely ridiculous. And when they were, he would say, in his overaccentuated Greek accent, "Don't be ridiculous." The laughs would roar each time that line was presented. Although there was never an episode of Perfect Strangers that went something like this, I think Balki may have sure enough sung that line with great amplitude... His counterpart would have said to Balki. "You know what. I am going to go and ask 6 people to each give me a number, and with those numbers I shall SURELY hit the big jackpot in the lottery and win. Once I get these numbers it is inevitable that I shall win the lottery and life will be bliss." The audience roars with laughter. Balki stops to pause. Slowly turns in almost sort of a slow dance... "Don't be ridiculous."
