My joyride yesterday

After our Sunday meeting on Zoom, my husband and I left for our joyride. He bought the motorcyle almost a year ago and mileage is very low. He seldom uses it. He needs 3k mileage for the tune up or whatever it is. Anyway, it was very hot yesterday and the sun was really burning our skin literally even if I we were covered from head to toe. But in the afternoon, it rained a bit. My mother-in-law gave me $100 also yesterday for my pair of slippers. She wanted me to buy Dr. Kong because my husband heard me complain about Havaianas slippers which I had been using for years. Havaianas did not last for more than a year because the round thing there in the tee post broke easily. I literally bought it every 6 months if not 10 months. It was very comfy to wear but not durable. But yesterday, I was able to buy 2 Dr. Kong slippers because they were on sale. It was a buy one take one thing. Loved it! Now, we are all so tired. We loved the moment but we felt like we were beaten to death The sun simply exhausted us. Also I got to see Fat Oreo. I squeezed him to the max and he shrieked at me

Nice of your MIL to give you money to buy slippers. I do not use Havaianas. We have Birkenstock here, it is comfy. I am not familiar with Dr.Kong. Is it imported or local?

I don't know if it is imported. But it is in SM Malls. Alsomitnis lightweight and very soft and according to my MIL'ssister they last for many years. Yes my MIL and I are good friends. And she is very generous. I will check Birkenstock, is it also durable?

Some shoes and slippers don't last long at all.

@Janet357 I gather your 'slippers' are flipflops. I could crochet or knit slippers for winter but I couldn't make flipflops. But maybe I could. I should have a think about it.

Thanks Miss Ann. I was expecting some sunburn, but nope, nothing happened. Thankfully.
