Ilocos Norte is a province located in the northwest of Luzon, and is part of the Ilocos region in the Philippines. It takes around 10-12 hours to travel by land, from Manila. And around 45 minutes by air.
There are a lot of tourist spots in the said province. Paoay Church, one of the oldest church in the Philippines, is included in the UNESCO World heritage site. Bangui windmill, which Ilocos is famous for, is the first wind farm in the Philippines. There's also Paoay sand dunes where you can experience riding a 4x4 and go for sandboarding. (This is so thrilling)
And of course, Pagudpud beach, also known as the Boracay of the north, that has fine white sand and crystal clear emerald water.
I've been to the mentioned places myself and I'm sure that I would go back again. Especially in Pagudpud beach, which is really beautiful to see up close.
Credits to the owner of the pic. I got it from google

I've made that trip, too, in my youth, and I enjoyed visiting the churches, feeling the winds on my faces, talking with the people, etcetera. Ilocos Sur, too, is commendable, with Vigan portraying the Philippine life centuries back.
